We from the Theatre Group Heimatstil are all happy, that every performance went well and we were successful with this year’s play "de verruckti Theodor". Starting in Rimbey where most of us are the most nervous as this is always our first show. I would like to thank Elisabeth & Urs Müller for their effort to sell all the tickets to the Swiss crowd from Edmonton and Central Alberta. It was great to see so many people attending this first performance.
Wally then took off and drove the set to Burnaby for our Thursday night show at the James Cowan Theatre, while the rest of us flew on Thursday morning to Vancouver.

Helen and Peter Schalle were selling the tickets and again they did a marvelous job. Helen also prepared a wonderful lunch for us, we really got spoiled and we are very thankful for their generous hospitality.

On Friday, Wally and Peter Fischer drove the stage to Vernon/Armstrong where we had two more shows on Saturday. We had the privilege to stay with Hans-Ruedi and Lilly Senn, Al and Barbara Klopfenstein, Lisa and Röbi Arnold. In the name of the Group, I would like to express my thank you to the host families for feeding and lodging us.

The last two shows were in Calgary with a good crowd in the afternoon and evening.

Sunday evening was perhaps not the best for many people, but this was the only day available when I booked this venue a year in advance. We practiced this for so long, that for us, it appeared not funny anymore. You proved us wrong when everybody left with a smile on their face and showed us with a great applause that you enjoyed watching "de verückte Theodor".

I also like to mention all the people who helped back stage in any which way for their contribution to fulfill this play.

Last but not least, we want to thank all our sponsors, spectators from all over BC and Alberta for their generous support, without you this wouldn’t be possible.

THANK YOU

Chris Schmid
